By creating an account or using Nox ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
The App is operated by AK Development (Alena Kuzmiankova), a sole proprietor based in Poland ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@noxdreamjournal.com.
Nox is a personal dream journaling app for self-reflection and entertainment. It lets you record dreams and daily rituals, and uses AI to generate gentle reflections on your entries.
Nox is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic service. AI-generated reflections are for entertainment and self-reflection only, and are not professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a qualified professional or a local support service.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required for valid consent to data processing in your country) to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
You retain full ownership of the dreams, notes, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process Your Content solely to operate and provide the App to you — for example, generating AI insights and showing your journal and dashboard. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it for advertising.
The Nox name, the Nox character, all artwork, illustrations, text, design, and software that make up the App are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. Your own dream entries and notes remain yours (see the previous section). You may not copy, extract, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App's content or branding without our permission.
Don't use the App for anything illegal, abusive, or harmful, and don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or use it in a way that harms other users or the Service itself. Where reasonable, we will give you notice. You can always delete your own account from the App's settings.
Some features may be offered as paid upgrades ("Premium"). Prices, billing, renewals, and cancellation are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and their terms apply to the transaction. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your store account settings.
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the App's settings. See section 6 of the Privacy Policy for details on what is deleted.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available." AI-generated reflections are for self-reflection and entertainment only and may be inaccurate or incomplete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions made based on content generated by the App, or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you reside.
The App is operated from Poland. You are responsible for complying with any local laws that apply to you where you use the App.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your personal data when you use Nox, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We do not use your dream content for advertising, and we do not use it to train third-party AI models for purposes other than serving your own requests.

We have configured these services to keep your data within the EU/EEA where possible. Where any processing involves a transfer outside the EEA, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your associated data as described in section 6. Some records (for example, purchase records held by the app stores) may be retained where required by law.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the App's settings. Deletion permanently removes your dreams, rituals, and profile data, and deactivates your login. This cannot be undone.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO) — uodo.gov.pl. You may also contact the authority in your country of residence.
We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or similar laws. Wherever you are located, you can exercise the rights described above by contacting us.
We rely on Google Firebase's infrastructure and access controls to protect your data, and we limit access to your content to what is needed to operate the App. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to keep your data safe.
The App is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top when we do, and notify you in the App if changes are significant.
